Dragamex's News

Posted by Dragamex - August 8th, 2010

So, done with TOFA. Didn't make it. Technically we made it to 3rd place, but so did another competitor with the exact same score. That miffed me a bit, but oh well. Just happy I was able to be a part of it.

but, from the whole thing, I've got some snippets regarding my voice work that I will proudly show off for all to see:

"...the voiceacting was amazing...i bet he'd do a good 'Bender' impression." -EddsWorld

"...the voice work...really helped this animation" - Jimmy Egeland

"The strength here was the voice acting. Kind of sounded like Fry from Futurama." - Jimmy Egeland in regards to the round 1 submission

EDIT: I've decided to add various comments about my voicework in this post and keep it as kind of a book of references. :D

"The voice acting is just... Awesome!"-mufanza

"the voice acting was excellent"-illuminate

"you really did some nice voice-acting there" -SeethingSwarm

"Dragamex sure did some hot magic with the voices." molkman

"The voice acting if[is] funny and engaging"-ShazZ

"I loved the voice effects."-JaMiEP

" the voice for Mr Johnson was exaclty like Chris Voigt's "Herb - Sensual Lobster" in the Angry Dog series."-Joyzee
Which you can view here. I don't hear it, but then again I don't hear the bender/fry references either.

"Really good voice acting"-Murad136

"Loved the voice acting"-ornery

"i love the voice"-Triffer

"Loved Mr. Johnson's voice! Especially when he says 'Oh Christ!'"-berserk816

"Great art and voice acting"-linkrocker(Can't take credit for the art, but "Great...voice acting" seemed shifty)

"Mr. Johnson's voice was a hilarious"-Kaze967

Did I really just comb through every submission I was part of and post everything related to voicework from the comments? You bet your ass I did. and Look out, Mr. Johnson had 34 pages of comments.

So there you have it. I sound like a futurama character. Also, I do good work.

So, as always, if you're looking for a voice actor PM ME. Or Aim me. Or add me as a friend on facebook (see: my website). I'm TOFA approved.

Hypnotoad Wills it so. ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD.

Snippets of talent...

I haven't posted in a bit, and I was really tired of having that stupid poem up.

So, a few things. First, I moved to Northern Florida. So far it's awesome, with the sole problem of not being able to find a job. No employment = no money = sad me. So, I've been putting all my time and effort that isn't going into voice acting into finding a job.

Don't look at me like that molkman, I know what you're thinking.

Speaking of voice acting, I've entered into some exciting new ventures. You've already seen A Triumph for Man (and if you haven't, go watch it now). I've got a couple more projects (collaborations, as I animate like a 5 year old with palsy) coming out from Mr. Molkman and of course the Nose.

So, I think that bundles everything neatly. Keep watching my page, send me a pm or 2, leave comments. Let's be friends.

And as always, if you have a project that needs a voice, let me know. It's my thing.

Peace!

New adventures

I dunno. Maybe I'm just bitter?

The sweet smell of freshly picked flowers
caresses the strong morning air.
Drops of dew melt away the heat.
It is you and I
that stand upon this pillar
This world of quickly sinking damnation.

Woodland creatures,
whose hearts are more innocent than children,
run by, searching for simple sustenance,
as the souls of those
that we have seen anguished
feast on the rotted death that spews forth on the sidewalks.

It is you I have chosen,
but it is you who makes my choice
irrevocably insane.

Hay Newgrounds.

So, I've got some peoples who added me to their favorites. That felt pretty cool. I haven't gotten any hatemail. Also cool. And I'm also completely bored and looking for things to record...

not cool.

So, I've made something up pretty quickly. You can use it (ask me first. I will know.), or you can get me to do some custom work for you.

Yes, there are a couple of times where I bumped into the mic and it made a noise. I didn't fix it because this is just a demo. If I'm doing custom work, I make sure everything is quality. :3

So, you saw this:

465491

Then you saw that we won second in the halloween contest.

I was pretty excited about that.

Now you want me to do voice work for you.

Well, bring it on.

I am currently doing one project for another member of exotworking, but after that (and molkman takes priority), I'll be open.

Need some weird voice work? PM me.

Ranges of voices, accents, you name it, I can probably bludgeon my way through it.

So how about it, Newgrounds?

Mr. Johnson,
my long time friend, has finally come out. It's been a long while in development for Molkman, but I think the game turned out splendidly. Beautiful game, fun mechanics, everything.

We've got a couple of secret projectx pending, so keep your eyes open. We're always happy to make you happy. :]

I know nobody reads this.. or cares... BUT!

My first win. I'm doing voice work (and just a touch of story-ing) for molkman. Check him out at exotworking.com

Our first (released) collaboration is Santa borrows a guitar. Daily 3rd and a frontpage ain't bad.

Keep watching for hilarity. There will be much of it.

Doing a piece of work, and realizing that your voice isn't quite right for the character / situation? I do voices of all kinds, and am looking to help out. ^_^

Just give me a pm, or AIM me, and I'll be happy to help you out in any way I can.

I can go very deep and menacing, to very high and happy. I have a range of accents like scottish, british, canadian, russian, pretty much you name it and I can do it.

A sampling of my voice

Looking forward to doing some movies soon!

Peace
