A srs synopsis

First, congrats on creating something epic. Now for some technicals:

The kiss looks a little forced, more like they're doing it as a dare than passionately thrusting their love into each other's mouths. I think this is because mario's eyes look a little too clenched.

Second, there's nothing going on in the background. No scenery, no clouds, nothin. It feels to me like they're experimenting in a bedroom with blue wallpaper and a pipe rather than expressing their intimate moment for all of the mushroom kingdom to see.

The lines could be a bit cleaner, but that's attributed to the style I suppose. I like the lack of shading, it gives this a nice cartoony flare.

Final Judgement: Thank you for ruining hundreds of people's days.

could you increase resolution on this and make it into a wallpaper? I've been looking for a good blackmage for awhile, and I really like this one. :]

Good, but needs something...

Your art is very good. He's got the basic muscular structure, he's in proportion, the coloring is great, and the fur looks furry. It's actually the pose he's in that make's this illustration look a bit impossible.

Look up some pictures of people swimming and you'll see what i mean. Also, it's very uncomfortable (and a bit silly) to have your arm up, with your forearm pointing down in a 90 degree angle. One last thing, if you're swimming, usually you want your hands splayed out so that it's easier to move.

I really like this piece, and I'd actually like to see you re-do it with a better pose, and possibly some lighting effects. :]

Thanks thank you for your positive response and advise!
I do plan to do better, its just that I'm still trying to get down poses and things, anatomy is still hard for me to draw, and its even harder to put them in a pose of some kind. Another thing thats really hard for me is lighting and shading, so I'm going to work on that as well.

This was also the first piece that I used photoshop for fur and shading.

I might redo this sometime later, but for now, I'm still going to draw more and try to get anatomy and other things down.
